Whole systems engineer. Actively building reliable stuff.

I build complex systems end to end, from storage engines to App Store apps. Five years in, and still learning most of the time.

Currently working on

In development

MemRabbit, a storage engine that implements the Redis 8 wire protocol and keeps every key in a few dozen bytes. Redis’s new licenses don’t allow shipping it inside proprietary products, so MemRabbit fills the gap as open source under AGPL.

Side quest: a fully working B2B2C education platform with OIDC and LDAP sign-in, role-based access control, and multi-tenant isolation on one codebase.

Selected work

Tools and skills

Go, TypeScript, Rust, Swift, Python, Java, Kotlin, and C. React, Next.js, Tailwind, React Native, Expo, Svelte, and Tauri for product work. PostgreSQL by default, ClickHouse for real-time analytics.

The tool follows the job: Go when speed decides, Rust for systems work, TypeScript for the web. I self-host where it makes sense, and I run what I ship.

Communication: English, professional proficiency.

Learning

It started with a book, then YouTube, then Stack Overflow once I began building things. Back then, Googling was the number one skill. I used Frontend Masters for learning, and The Primeagen’s “The Last Algorithm Course You’ll Need” really was my last one. Data structures were boring by the end, and they made me more creative.

AI makes writing code cheaper than ever.
So code is cheap, but genuine understanding is unavoidably rare and expensive.
